Assessment Tools Designer (115755: Design & Develop)
This short course covers the unit standard 115755: Design and develop outcomes-based assessments. It is a nationally registered unit standard aimed at anyone who wants to assess learners against registered unit standards and full qualifications in the SETA (QCTO) sub-framework.
Candidate assessment tool designers can complete this unit standard on its own (usually done because you already have obtained the assessing unit standard 115753). Alternatively you can complete it in combination with unit standard 115755: Design and develop outcomes-based assessments. If you want to do the two unit unit standards together there is a separate course listed, with a different price. Is this short course for me?

Chartall Business College has curated all your training material into weeks for easy access, although you can move around in the subject material if you wish. You will be allocated to an online e-lecturer who will assist you with queries, run e-lectures and e-tutorials, and keep you on track. The course material is a combination of e-learning and pre-recorded e-lectures that you work through systematically in your own time, at your own place and in your own space. You can repeat any lesson or video at any time, which is impossible to do in class. This means you can review difficult concepts slowly and often for deeper learning and insight. In addition, there are live e-tutorials each week to give you an opportunity to engage with your e-lecturer in real time. You will have the same number of contact hours as a learner who completes the training in a classroom, just you will have more flexibility.
Learners will have EIGHT weeks to complete the online learning and hand in their portfolio of evidence.
Candidate assessors must have a PC or tablet (or smart phone, but this could be too small for effective learning) with sufficient internet connectivity to download the online learning materials and view videos, as well as attend the live e-tutorials.
Candidate assessors are also required to record part of their evidence, so access to a recording device (cell phone or other) is essential.
In addition, candidate assessors need to be proficient in English at National Senior Certificate level. A good level of computer literacy is also an advantage.
Note that your portfolio must be handed in after the eight weeks of online learning. If you are late there is a late submission fee.
