FETC: Business Administration (NQF 4)
This qualification provides a logical progression from the preceding NQF level 3 Business Administration qualification, although learners can access it without having achieved the level 3 qualification.
The core component of the qualification offers learners the knowledge and skills to function effectively in an office environment. Specifically, the training covers the following key areas: management of records, comprehension of written and verbal texts, business writing, problem solving, ethics, cultural awareness, self-management, self-development, project teamwork, and business policies and procedures. Learners working towards this qualification will find that the acquisition of these competencies will add value to both their current job role and future career prospects. What are the entry requirements?
If students want to access online resources, they will need access to a computer or tablet with video and sound capability, have their own email address, and have reliable internet access (minimum 2 Mbps).
In addition, learners need to be proficient in English. A good level of computer literacy is also useful.
Chartall Business College has curated your online training material into learning modules for easy access.. You will be allocated to an online e-lecturer who will assist you with queries, run e-tutorials, and keep you on track. The course material is a combination of e-learning and pre-recorded e-lectures that you work through systematically in your own time, at your own pace, and in your own space. You can repeat any lesson or video at any time, which is impossible to do in a face to face class. This means you can review difficult concepts slowly and often for deeper learning and insight.
Alternatively, the qualification can be acquired by experienced candidates through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL is an assessment process that captures a candidate’s existing knowledge and skill and matches it to the qualification requirements. With RPL there is no formal training although an experienced RPL adviser will assist learners to relate their workplace experience to the outcomes of the registered unit standards.
Learners are assessed using a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE). Chartall Business College has set questions and assignments that are completed throughout the qualification. You complete these assessments in your own time. This portfolio will be assessed by a registered assessor and feedback will be provided.
The advantage of the portfolio as a mode of assessment is that it can be used after the learning to support the learner’s CV as it showcases what they can do practically (you will need to keep a copy of it for this purpose).
Chartall recognises unit standard that you may have successfully completed with another Training Provider and will not require you to redo the specific unit standards if you can supply a statement of results from the relevant SETA.
