A proud congratulations to the first graduates of the Chartall Business College Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Earning a degree is a life-changing accomplishment. Achieving it while working full-time is something to be honoured and celebrated!

Ali and Deone, the entire BBA Faculty is truly proud of you. We have been privileged to walk alongside you on this journey to mark your growth.

Alethea Botes

“Having recently started a new job, I can confidently apply what I have learned over the last four years.  Thanks to my degree, I have the tools to understand what is required in all aspects of the company, and the skills of a leader who understands what our employees need, and how to guide them forward in the best possible manner.”

Ms. Botes described her five-year plan as on track. “I am implementing several policies and procedures accessed in my BBA, to ensure our local and international compliance. I fell in love with the Employee Wellness stream. From being an employee, and having grown as a leader, I can now understand both sides and feel like my leadership style will allow me to flourish.”

Alethea describes her choice as a no-brainer. “I completed the Assessor course and realized that learning online is not as daunting as everyone made it out to be.  The staff and faculty were always available to me then, so I expected the same support and guidance in a momentous degree too.”

Alethea Botes is a role model for working adults pursuing a degree. “When I saw the BBA advertised, I knew it was something I could do, and even though I was in my 40’s, I knew it would benefit my career – I wasn’t wrong.”

Alethea is most grateful to Dr. Karen Deller for encouraging and inspiring her. Ali goes on to thank her supervisor, John, “Your encouragement and advice throughout the degree never fell on deaf ears.” Ms. Botes wanted to show gratitude to her fellow graduate. “Deone Roodt, thank you for being my study buddy for the last few years, I couldn’t have done it without you. PS: I am sorry for all the nagging to get you going, but we did this!”

Deone Roodt

Mr. Roodt was excited about his graduation.  “I’m looking forward to having a qualification behind my name after having to drop out of university 20 years ago. The best thing about achieving my degree is the doors that have opened for further studying, like the MBA.”

Deone did not have it easy. “After suffering a brain haemorrhage 20 odd years ago, I didn’t think I would ever have the concentration or memory to complete a degree. With a lot of hard work, my greatest accomplishment is passing most of the BBA subjects with distinction.”

When asked why he chose Chartall Business College’s BBA degree, Deone said, “The comfort of studying online whenever I had a chance made it so much easier than a rigid face-to-face method. As a business owner, I do most of the things that are covered in the BBA degree in my daily work life. Gaining the theory and knowledge to implement those tasks effectively was the biggest drive to do the BBA.”

Grateful for his supporter, Deone shared, “Without the support of Karen, Simon, Ali, Leigh-Ann, Esme, and Linda, I would never have been able to complete the degree. Their constant encouragement and sometimes harassment made the journey worthwhile!”

To quote Marianne Williamson, “our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world.”

Dear graduates, you are powerful, you are bright. Go show the world!

We wish you every success in your lifelong learning!
