Parmi Natesan

Parmi has been with the IoDSA for 8 years, first as Senior Governance Specialist and then Executive: Centre for Corporate Governance, overseeing governance thought leadership, director training and certifications. She is a leading corporate governance specialist in the country who has authored numerous articles and papers and spoken as various conferences and events.

She has served as an Executive Director on the Board of the IoDSA for 4 years. She also serves on the boards of PPS Holdings Trust and Alviva Holdings as a non-executive director. Parmi Natesan resumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa (IoDSA) on 1 April 2019

Parmi has received numerous accolades over her career, including a Rising Star alumni award from the Nelson Mandela University and was named one of Destiny magazine’s top 40 African women under the age of 40. She has a passion for driving progress and intends to steer and motivate the IoDSA team to achieve greatness.

Parmi is a qualified chartered accountant, registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, with BCom (cum laude) and Bcom (honours) degrees from the Nelson Mandela University (then University of Port Elizabeth). She hails from the small Eastern Cape town of Uitenhage, having matriculated from Riebeek College Girls High School.
